You will also have opportunities to contribute to the wider life of the team, both in the region and nationally. And you will use your experiences of what is working well to shape future policy. You will work closely with senior private and public sector stakeholders. Working in a national unit, you will support the implementation of a range of Government programmes, delivered in partnership with the private and public sector, ensuring they are joined up and effectively monitored. We are looking for a new Policy Advisor & Area Coordinator join the Tees Valley Area Team. We also have a strong commitment to promoting quality civil service roles outside of London, and a culture which takes welfare, mental health and work-life balance seriously. We believe we are the most outward facing part of government. But what we are most proud of is that every day we work constructively and creatively with a range of private and public sector partners across the country. We work at different levels, from the small neighbourhood to the large sub-national strategy. Government’s relationship with local growth institutions We lead on a range of initiatives including: The Cities and Local Growth Unit (CLGU) is a joint unit between DLUHC and BEIS, supporting economic development and social wellbeing in places across the UK – but especially in places that have been left behind.
